engineering drawing would be used and the reasons it is suitable for its
intended audience?





An engineering drawing is used to
explain something in engineering. A diagram of a system. An assembly drawing to
show how something goes together. A drawing of a casting or machined part,
something like that







Engineers, draftsmen, machinists,
inspectors, and assembly people use these drawings to communicate with one
another, so they are the intended audience.







It takes some training and
background to be able to interpret these drawings. You have to 'learn the
language'. You need to understand the conventions of drafting--hidden lines,
'phantom lines', isometric views, sectional views, stuff like that. There are
also references to other documents--procedures, specifications, standards, etc.
that are relevant to the drawing at hand--and the audience usually has some
familiarity with these, or knows where to look them up.
